Magazine shoot - for Perfect Wedding Guide

by Storybook Wedding Photography - We were thrilled when the publishers of Perfect Wedding Guide asked us to do a shoot for their magazine.  We teamed up with several models and wedding pros, out at the Glass Veranda at Forrest Ridge and had such a fun time!

The Bridal Couture Girls had their unique accessories on the models, after Faccia Bella did their make-up and Christa Michelle Tyler did their hair!  Red Hot Designs provided the gorgeous bridal gowns, and Bridal Garden created the bouquets and all the florals.  And last but certainly not least, Tulsa Weddings & Design put together a fabulous table scape along with paper embellishments from Paper 8.

It was a great mix of Tulsa Wedding Society talent!  But enough of my rambling… let's see some pictures!

Leila + Paul

The Team

Cake - Ann's Bakery

Florist - Divine Designs by Mandy

on-location Hair & Make-up artists - Faccia Bella

Table linens, chair covers & sashes - The Cover Girls

Leila was absolutely thrilled with the results and professionalism of all the vendors she hired! She was a bridesmaid in a previous wedding last August where Divine Designs by Mandy did the flowers and she could not wait to experience her own wedding. She said the flowers were absolutely gorgeous and that they were so fresh and perfect! The experience she received with hair and make-up was first class and she and her party looked amazing! The table linens and chair covers were more than she imagined and that the restaurant was truly transformed to suit her event. Of course the cake was so perfect that it did not look real. She would recommend all of her vendors to ANY bride and even posted a note on her facebook page to notify brides of her wonderful experience.

A few words from the bride...

Faccia Bella: April and Sherrie were amazing!  They made getting ready relaxing and stress free. Each girl had their own look that fit their individual style and personality.

Cover Girls: Jane was super sweet , and welcoming! She made sure everything was just the way I wanted it. The linens looked excellent and I loved my sweetheart table!

Divine Designs by Mandy: You were excellent Mandy! I love how you had a contingency plan if we couldn't get the anemones in. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. I love the special touches you added as well, it made me feel special and like my flowers were a one of a kind design! I never felt worried about how any of the flowers would turn out. I had complete confidence that you would do a wonderful job. You were very professional , yet personable.

Ann's Bakery: My experience with Ann's was great. I loved the special cake tasting room they have for brides! My cake was fresh, moist, and flavorful.

Rene with Mom & Me events transformed the gorgeous Skelly Lodge into a dream wedding venue for Madison & Justin.  The outdoor ceremony overlooking the bluff and the reception under a sprawling white tent was picture perfect, to say the least.  This is a delightful couple with such sweet families to work with.  All of the TWS members who Madison & Justin chose to provide services for their wedding, feel very honored to have been a part of this special day!  Congrats!

Vendor Spotlight: Faccia Bella

Although wedding day make-up should be heavier than you normally wear, keep in mind it should enhance your natural beauty, not cover you up!
The main reason for this is your photos, which have a tendency to make us look washed out. My photography makeup instructor emphasized this point, from the start.

For the appearance of flawless skin, our airbrush product is a must-have.
It goes on as a mist, by letting each layer dry in between, so I can build a flawless look. Its oil free, paraben free and will last at least 24 hours (if you don't wash it off).

Current trends: This season I am seeing an updated vintage look. Think Marilyn Monroe but softer; smudged liner instead of heavy liquid and red lips. Not a fan of red lips? Not to worry, corals and fun spring pinks are also in, as is purple eyeshadow (perfect for brides with green or brown eyes).
